Etta Mae Smith (founder)
Throughout her life, Etta Mae wore many hats.
She was a singer, dancer, actress, wife, mother, grandmother, dance teacher and choreographer. She preferred to be known as a "dancer."
She owned and operated her own dance studio for 64 years, was a member of Dance Masters of America, Ohio Dance Masters where she served as president for four years and on the board of trustee's for over 30 years.
Etta Mae was a Scotch Irish lassie from Kenmore who took fierce pride in the community and high school where she choreographed the musicals, choir and madrigals for decades. She was an avid fan of the "fighting cardinal" football team.
Etta Mae was extremely proud of her three children who followed in her dancing footsteps.
At age five, Isaah started his dance career right here at the Etta Mae Smith Studio of Dance. After High School, Isaah continued his dance training by earning a fellowship with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He has danced professionally on cruise lines and in shows nation-wide including Smokey Mountains and Branson Missouri. Isaah was most recently a member of Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre under the direction of Michael Medcalf and was a dancer, teacher, and choreographer for The Dancing Wheels Company and School in Cleveland, OH. Isaah has continued his education and training through obtaining a certification in Ballet and Jazz from Dance Masters of America.

Julia Foti (Instructor)
Julia is a Cuyahoga Falls native and has studied dance since the age of two training in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop with the legendary Etta Mae Smith, at Etta Mae Smith’s Studio of Dance.
She has been on numerous competition teams all over Ohio and has been awarded many group and individual titles, including “Outstanding Performer” from some of Ohio most prestigious organizations. Having the ability to share her passion of dance with the next generation of dancers has truly been a blessing.
